INSTALLATIONS

Q: Do I need to replace my baseboards?

A: No, unless already old, worn, or damaged, when and if to change baseboards is always the home

    owner's choice.

What does need to happen is the temporary removal during any hardsurface installation. This

includes any tile, vinyl plank, or wood product. Baseboards are usually installed over top of the

flooring surface and not removing them during a remodel is liable to scratching, chipping, &

breakage. Minor paint touch ups afterwards are very common.

MISC.

Q: What is acclimationDoes my flooring need to do that too?

A: Acclimation is the time period prior to a new installation when new flooring is allowed to sit, rest, &

adjust to the temperature it will be living in. A minimum of 3 to 5 days is enough for most but some

materials are subject to vary. This is especially important for vinyl plank, laminate, & wood products

    since it:

-preps the material for the natural relaxing/expanding and constricting it will do

-prevents excess on site moisture from causing excessive shrinking
